Creating Opportunities for Youth in the River Valley Through MAGIC: Music, Art, Gaming, IT, and Career Development

Who We Are
The Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing youth career development and opportunity in the River Valley. Our mission is to remove financial and access-based barriers that prevent youth from pursuing their interests, talents, and career goals. In Branton’s memory, we create opportunities for young people to explore their passions through MAGIC — Music, Art, Gaming, IT, and Career Development.
Through community partnerships and youth-focused programs, the foundation helps students discover their potential. In addition, these programs help youth build confidence in their abilities. Because of this, we believe mentorship, training, and encouragement, give young people the momentum needed to pursue education, careers, and creative opportunities.
We provide scholarships like the Branton “Buddy” Ramsey Memorial Scholarship at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma. Through this scholarship, students receive support to pursue higher education. In addition, we offer mentorship, digital skills training, and hands-on learning experiences through programs like Teens Teach Tech. In this program, young people help bridge the technology gap for older adults. At the same time, they develop leadership and real-world technology skills.
The Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation invests in youth education, community engagement, and career exploration. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire the next generation of creators, innovators, and leaders in the River Valley.
Communities We Serve Through Our Youth Career Development Programs
The Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation proudly serves youth and families across the River Valley region. Specifically, this includes Sequoyah and Le Flore Counties in Oklahoma, as well as Crawford and Sebastian Counties in Arkansas, and surrounding areas.
Our programs and scholarships support students in communities such as Poteau, Fort Smith, Van Buren, and nearby towns. Through programs such as Teens Teach Tech and our mentorship opportunities, young people develop skills, confidence, and leadership.
By working with schools, community partners, and families across the region, the foundation expands access to scholarships, technology training, and career development opportunities for River Valley youth.
Brantstock – Music For A Grateful Heart
One of the most meaningful ways our community comes together to support our mission and programs is through Brantstock – Music For A Grateful Heart.
Hosted by the Branton Ramsey Legacy Foundation, Brantstock is an annual community concert that celebrates live music, remembrance, and generosity. The event was created to honor Branton, a passionate drummer and lifelong lover of music. His energy and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
What began as a tribute to Branton’s love of music has grown into a special night where musicians, families, local businesses, and supporters gather to celebrate community while giving back.
Proceeds from Brantstock fund a range of impactful programs. For example, they support the Branton “Buddy” Ramsey Memorial Scholarship at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma. This scholarship supports local students pursuing higher education in computer science or participating in the CASC esports program.
In addition, proceeds fund the Teens Teach Tech program, where students teach adults essential digital skills. Furthermore, Brantstock supports the foundation as it develops new initiatives in music, art, gaming, information technology, and youth career development. Together, these programs help young people gain skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed.
